5. My Khe Beach

From Da Nang is just one step to the beach. One of the most beautiful beaches in Da Nang, where you can admire the view of Son Tra Peninsular on the left and Cham Island in the distance on the right, is My Khe Beach. 4. Asia Park

A full day of playing games, getting a ticket to Asia Park is definitely getting a ticket to the childhood. Asia Park is a good place for entertainment, from the Amusement Park for adventure games, to the Center Zone where you can take the monorail, dragon boat, ferris wheel (Sun Wheel) etc. and enjoy the view of Da Nang City. The park was built a few years ago and now still expanding, with the work of architects from all over the world.

3. Ba Na Hills Mountain Resort

25km the West of Da Nang City, tourists reach Ba Na Hills, a remote place to stay off the city. After taking the cable car to the top of mountain which is 1500m above sea level, you can escape the summer heat and enjoy the cool mountain atmosphere. Here you can enjoy the view of Da Nang City, Son Tra Peninsular, Marble Mountains and the top of Bach Ma Mountain (yes, really!). Stay here until late evening when the city is lighten up and admire the magical view of twinkling light far below. 2. Than Tai Hot Springs

You can visit Than Tai almost every time of the year. On a cool and rainy day, this is an ideal place to chill out when immersing yourself into the hot fresh water, detox your body in sauna room, relax in Jacuzzi bath and so on. Even this is a resort, but it’s so big that you feel you isolated among hills and mountains. Retreat yourself, enjoy the sound of nature and the fresh mountain air. Than Tai is not only a place to relax, it also has a water park to play with mischievous friends.

1. Son Tra Peninsular

Remember we mentioned the mountain and sea at-same-time experience before? Here is the perfect place for it. A mountain in the sea which is the shelter for wild flora and fauna, is called Tien Sa Mountain (“descending angels”) or Monkey Mountain accordingly to the number of monkeys live there. On the top of mountain, is Ban Co Peak (“chessboard”), where angels alight on the summit for a game of chess. It’s a furious ride to the top, but the spectacular view is worth a try! For anyone love history, Son Tra Peninsular was also a military base of American army.

Instead of hiking to the top, tourists can go along the south coast of Peninsular and reach Bai But beach. It’s a good place to escape the noisy center. Visit Linh Ung Pagoda on the way to Bai But to explore Buddhism in Vietnam. Very different from Buddhism in neighbor countries of Vietnam like Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, here Mahayana is the most popular.

If you go along the north coast of Son Tra, after passing Tien Sa Sea Port, one of the biggest and oldest sea port in Central Vietnam, you will reach Da Den Beach (“black rock”). Leave your vehicle and walk a few kilometers to reach there, but this totally isolated place worth a try! Enjoy the Robinson experience and the peace of mind.
